Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell was an actress on television, ex-chef at the Institute of Culinary Education and previously taught cooking. Anne Burrell. Burrell is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on Food Network. Food Network, as well as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature spiky blond locks and pumped up appearance, offers the basics of cooking that any person can master. Chef Burrell has worked in many of the best eateries in New York, studied the cuisine and culture of Italy as well as competed in the Food Network's Iron Chef America. Burrell is a native of the Upstate and grew up in New York State's Upstate, developed an early passion for cooking. The Culinary Institute of America has sparked her interest in managing restaurants when she received an English/Communications diploma at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was a wonderful learning experience for me. The Culinary Institute of the Americas was a fantastic location to learn. Following her graduation, Chef Burrell was able to spend a full period of time in Italy studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin-starred restaurant in Tuscany. While in Italy, she developed an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian cuisine and its culture. This will have a significant impact on the way that Burrell prepares her food. Burrell is a well-known ambassador to the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She also is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that assists kids who have challenges. In her capacity as a guest speaker and mentor Burrell travels throughout the United States to discuss her culinary passion and professional career. Anne has said during her career in the kitchen she's grateful to be able share with others what is most important for her.
