Markie Post
Markie Post was born in Walnut Creek,
California. Her first professional work was in film and television productions
such as "Card Sharks" (1978) or "The New Card Sharks” (1986).
Later, she produced such projects as Double Dare (1976). She also has appeared
on television shows like 1st to Die (2003) and E! True Hollywood Story (1996),
Electra Woman (2001), and Dyna Girl (2001). Her most famous TV performance was
as "Christine Sullivan" in Night Court (1984). From 1984 until 1992
she was in 156 episodes. Marylee (Armstrong) Post was her mother. She was a
noted poet and nuclear scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918 - April
7, 2015). There were two daughters she had with her husband, Michael A. Ross:
Katie Ross (born June 26 1997) and Daisy Ross (born March 30 and died on March
30, 1990). Her birthplace was Palo Alto, California and grew up close to Walnut
Creek in California. Attended Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek,
California; she was an athlete. She received her Bachelor of Arts at Lewis
& Clark College, Portland Oregon. She was a trick roper on The Wildest
West Show of the Stars (1986). Her ashes were later returned home to Michael A.
Ross, her husband. She was a lifetime Democrat. Markie Post died three months
after her 71st Birthday on August 7, 2021. She died 27 days after Charles
Robinson, her Night Court (1984) co-star who passed away on the 11th of July,
2021. While the two shows were not connected, Night Court (1984) concluded with
Christine Sullivan's character moving to Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992)
started with Post as Georgie Lahti. Post was a new character in Hearts Afire
(1992), and she later moved to a smaller community after her time in Washington
DC.
