Alona Tal

Alona Tal, an Israeli American actor and singer was born on October 20, 1983 in Herzliya. Her career began after serving as a member of the Israeli Defense Forces. Her big break was in 2003 when she starred in an Israeli film. She also appeared in two Israeli television shows at the time. She also attempted to make recording songs along with Subliminal the Israeli rapper. Tal was able to move in with her sister in New York in order to take a break from her career. In the track "Party to Damascus" she performed in a duet with Wyclefjean from Haiti. American television also helped her make a name for herself, beginning with a recurring part on the series Veronica Mars. She initially attempted to audition for the role of lead however, creator Rob Thomas created a new character for her. Tal later snagged a regular role in the short-lived CBS series. After his move to New York, he appeared in two shows on TV in Israel. Wyclef Jean was her singing partner. Hebrew is her first language. She came in second for the role as Veronica Mars (2004). Thomas loved her so much that he designed the recurring character of Meg Manning just for her. Served in The Israel Defense Forces. Her parents are Jewish, her father is Turkish/Jewish while her mother is Polish/Jewish. She plays the role of Adrian Monk's spouse, who was killed in the last episode of Monk (2002).
