Rita Ora Bio
Rita Ora (British singer-songwriter) is her name. Rita Sahatciu Ora was born in 1990 in Pristina (Kosovo) to Vera (Bajraktari) and Besnik Sahatciu. Besim Sahatciu is her granddaughter. Her family relocated to the United Kingdom at age 1. Her home was West London. She attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School, Earls Court. After that she graduated from Sylvia Young Theatre School followed by St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College. She began singing at an early stage of her life. In 2004, she was a part of the British film Spivs. She auditioned for Eurovision: Your Country needs You on BBC One to be the British contestant in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest but later pulled out of the contest after a couple of episodes because she wasn't sure she was ready. Her first music release came in 2007 when she featured on Craig David's song "Awkward" as well as in 2008 on "Where is Your Love" featuring Tinchy Stryder. She also appeared in music videos. Ora began to sing in bars throughout London. A few days later, Ora flew to New York to meet Jay-Z, an A&R inform Roc Nation about Ora. In 2009, Ora made a cameo in Jay-Z's video for "Young Forever" and "Over" by Drake. Ora attracted the attention of Jay-Z and he quickly signed her up to Roc Nation, in which she was featured in commercials for Roc Nation + Skullcandy Aviator Headphones. Her father Besnik owned a pub and she started her singing career in that same bar. Gwen Stefani was her major influence. Her father was a pub owner and she started her singing performances from the same bar. Kate Moss and Ed Sheeran are close friends.
